Summary: Unless you need to be in mid-town Manhattan and can afford it, this is a great alternative. 2 blocks to subway with a straight shot to Times Square and Central Park, places in between. You never have to leave the neighborhood for groceries, restaurants, bakeries, hair, massage, etc etc. No need for a car. Bus to downtown Brooklyn. The apartment is roomy with nice kitchen and walk-out to garden. 3 stairsteps to get down to apartment. No noisy neighbors, safe neighborhood. All amenities are taken care of - tv, wifi, heat, AC. We stayed 2 months and regretted having to leave.
