Villa Angela, located in the tranquil Brienno. A small sleepy village on the shores of Lake Como. When it is Lake Como people think about, this villa could just be it!
This is the perfect location for family gatherings, friends reunions, groups attending Weddings in Laglio (5 minute drive) or why not, the perfect place to host a small wedding (ask for our wedding and events rates)
Sleeping up to 10 people, the villa offers space both inside and out to accommodate larger groups so everyone has a bit of privacy. The Lake House is also included in the deal that sleeps up to 2.
Occasionally the owner could use the small road side flat that remains below the pedestrian entrance. This building is totally separate to the villa and the Lake House with its own private entrance and small area of garden.
The main villa, very elegant and very well presented also has some interesting and important historic notes. Many of you may know that Lake Como was one of Winston Churchill's favourite places and that he loved to paint. In 1945 he resided at the villa during one of his Lake Como stays and enjoyed the characteristic Brienno! In fact there is also a plaque on the facade of the villa indicating this bit of history!
Entering the property of the Villa from the main road above, you are totally surrounded by a very well-tended and planted garden with beautiful trees and plants, flowered areas and even a boat dock for lake access that is perfect for weddings and transporting guests. You will have to walk down to the lake area thru the garden to reach the Villa and Lake House as there is no drive down into the property, this is a part of the unique and private position!!
The main entrance of the villa is towards the back of the building, entering directly into the main hall and lounge with the new and modern kitchen on your right and the dining room to the left but the best part of the villa remains directly in front of you with floor to ceiling French windows that open directly onto the lake front terrace with stunning views!
Going down the steps you reach the lower lake front terrace and dock and boat mooring.
From the lake front terrace you can then discover the vast garden, all along the lake, go swimming, playing, relaxing, sunning, boating the true Lake Como relaxing lifestyle.
Back in the villa, the ground floor offers a modern and newly renovated kitchen with all mod cons and fully equipped. The main entrance lounge that then opens out onto the terrace that is the perfect place to enjoy your al fresco meals and the formal dining room that seats 10 and one large newly renovated bathroom with shower.
Upstairs are the bedrooms: 3 doubles and 1 twin that sleeps a total of 8 with a family bathroom on this floor and a smaller wc on the top floor.
The master bedroom, the tiwn and the second double all with lake views, the third double has garden views but just as nice as the others!
2 people will be accommodated in the Lake House that is located in a secluded corner of the villa's gardens, undisturbed by the main villa if its privacy you are after.
The Lake House is small building on 2 floors, the main ground floor has kitchen, living, dining open space, lovely views from the window and of course access to the garden with table and chairs outside that naturally doubles the living space!
Going up the wood ladder to the mezzanine level and up to the spacious Master bedroom, the view gets even better and the atmosphere is absolutely perfect with a double Queen size bed.
Also on this floor is the ample bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and WC.
The aerial photo of the property indicates the position of the Villa Angela and the Lake House and the beautiful planted garden, as mentioned above, unique and hard to beat!! At approximately 10 minutes' drive you reach Argegno, the larger town just up the road going north with shops, cafes and restaurants, well served. Further south, at 5 minutes' drive is Laglio where many wedding ceremonies and venues are so the Villa Maria is the perfect location to host groups attending the weeding's. The city of Como, a bit further south is a wonderful city not be missed!
The Lake House is located in the town of Brienno, a very small, sleepy residential village, approx. 100 mt along the main road you encounter the little village and its narrow lanes that take you down to the lake. Once a fisherman's village you can still admire the great lake side position.
