This Maisonette, our first construction project, we saw it build with passion, we thought for hours to optimize the space for a spacious atmosphere and took the time to arrange it carefully for our comfort and decorate it so that everyone feels good .... We continue to pamper it: it is even air conditioned and equipped with WiFi recently! With its large openings, we are inside-outside! Poppies have blossomed everywhere inside as a tribute to the color they offer us all around the terrace. This is where we spent our best summers with the children; she grew up with them: far enough from the summer hustle and bustle to appreciate the calm of the countryside and yet 5 minutes on foot to do our shopping and participate in village activities, 1/4 hour on foot from the map water for swimming.
Our little house keeps memories of their laughter, their first talents as a painter, their "stone soup" in the dinette still stored in the drawers ... You will also find the box of pearls that awaits the next budding creators on the small table at their size, their own little corner with other small games for them ... For young people (teenagers) they can find board games, cards or walk to the nearby football stadium or at the fenced city-stadium (bascket, hand, mini-football), at the skate-park in the village, at tennis or at equestrian centers at the exit of the village, to refresh yourself at La Muie, riversides fitted out for swimming.
The living room is bright and from the sofa, you can watch TV or be outside since the bay window gives you a large view of the garden - everyone has their own program! Remember to bring some DVDs because we leave you our reader ... The large table, in oak Louis XIII style, could tell the convivial meals shared with family or friends; and the one outside, every evening we appreciate the sweet freshness without seeing the hours go by - that's holidays! -
The superb idea is to have 2 separate bedrooms on the mezzanine, each with lots of storage space and neat bedding; linen provided (sheets, towels, tea towels) it's one less worry for you!
The kitchen is carefully equipped because we like to cook with ease and especially to store in a LARGE refrigerator (fed up with the little "top" for singles!) ; it even has a real freezer for cherub ice cream and icicles for Pastis! Of course the dishwasher saves us the hassle of cleaning by hand; we chose it silent for our peace and yours now.
With us, it is gas cooking: and yes, we will not get excited about the hazardous operation of electric plates on which cooking is balanced! The oven is a real normal size electric oven into which comfortable dishes fit and not for a single person! The microwave oven will comfort the most pressed ... And if you are greedy, there is something to taste in our beautiful region: the caterers will make your life easier but you can also enjoy seasonal vegetables and fruits, tapenades, anchoïade and other spreads as a accompaniment to a small rosé du coin (We know almost all the addresses, and according to your tastes, we will indicate the areas to you); moreover, you will find a welcome bottle to celebrate your arrival!
The bathroom has a storage unit again; so we can organize ourselves as we wish and empty our toiletry bag if we want. The shower is designed on the "Italian" principle so no curtain or door to maintain: it's great for cleaning! The little more "comfortable": separate WC ...
The terrace, I recommend it to you in the early morning, when the birds delight you with their anarchic and yet so harmonious songs; it is ideal for enjoying your still warm croissants, proudly acquired after a short morning walk (barely 10 minutes) or quickly brought back by car; anyway you park right in front of the house so no stress to find a place!
Besides, if you don't want to unload all your belongings, or if you carry around a nautical machine, whatever, your car is near you, on our fenced area!
We don't see the time passing by here: there are so many activities to do in various very enriching fields:
- sports nearby with mountain biking, tennis, football, horse riding or around with canoeing (15 hour drive), tree climbing (20 min.), pedalos, sailing and electric boat (35 min) activities by the sea (45 minutes away)
- cultural (Terra Rosa Museum, Truffle Museum, troglodyte caves, etc.)
- gastronomic (renowned restaurants around "Chez Bruno" in Lorgues, "Le colombier" in Villecroze, "Green oaks", "La Bastide" and "La table" in Tourtour
- picturesque with pétanque, sixte tournaments, Pistou soup on the square on Friday afternoons (by reservation) and village Aïoli,
- enjoy the typical Provencal atmosphere of the markets of our villages
- take the wine route and taste the rosé beverages (the whites and reds are also worth the detour!) in the many internationally renowned wine estates
- Push to the seaside (45 minutes) to appreciate our French Riviera and why go for a walk in Saint-Tropez ...? Or go spend the day at Aqualand?
For 15 years, we have not seen the time pass, and never boredom in our free time ... Sometimes, lazing around is enough to satisfy us in our haven of peace, which you can also enjoy!
