Summary:
We were on a cruise and wanted a private tour from Port said to Cairo, Giza then Alexandria. All the reviews were excellent for Sun Pyramids and so we booked. The cruise line were pushing their tours and saying for safety reasons. Complete rubbish. Theirs were overpriced and terrible people all said they were horrible.
Ours was magnificent, luxurious, professional, friendly, helpful, kind nothing was a problem. Our guides Fatima day one and her husband Osama on day two (due to a medical emergency with her father) were superb, both degree qualified archiologists and with two of their four kids studying archaeology its in their DNA. Request either of them as your guide.
Rana handled the bookings perfectly. We were amazed on check in at our hotel to find Sun Valley had booked and paid for a junior suite facing the pyramids.
We wanted to see the new GEM museum. Not fully open but partially open. Wow it was superb.
We felt at all times safe and superbly looked after. Even wandering around the cities on foot we never once felt unsafe, everyone we met was kind friendly and very proud of their country and history.
Don't hesitate to book you will not regret it! Special tip at the lunch try the Tahini dip!

Fantastic tour of Giza and Cairo with the amazing guide Mohamed Alfayed and skilled driver Absalam. Super friendly, informative, flexible. Highlights were the koshary lunch at the super famous across the Middle East Abu Tarek restaurant and the stroll inside Khan Kalili market with a stop over at the oldest cafe of Islamic Cairo El Fishawy, full of character and friendly vibes. The hotel was right in front of the Pyramids of Giza, with a prime view of the Sounds and Lights show at night and a breakfast on the terrace with view over the pyramids in the morning. Highly recommended.

Summary:
This was such an amazing trip! Mahmoud Emam was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and protected us from the typical hassles that most tourists will face in Cairo. Having a private tour is definitely the way to go as we were picked up directly from the airport, taken to our hotel, and then moved along the various tours at our own pace. Mahmoud even took many pictures for us and advised us on where the better places were to buy authentic souvenirs and places to stay away from. This tour was worth every penny and after looking around during our time here, I don’t think we would have had the same experience if we went with another company.
