Summary:
A great day with Darren. We were taken by 4WD to canyons near Zion with no one else around. First time rappelling, it was easy and safe. We did a decent amount of hiking up and down with the area we chose, so some general fitness would be wise. We also had great conversations from botany, to the rocks, to suggestions for the next day's site seeing. I'll do it again if I'm back to Kanab.

Brett was our guide - we are so glad! He was efficient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Because of his confident and relaxed attitude we felt at ease despite the fact we were each challenged by the long and sometimes technical rappels and the steep scramble out of Lost Canyon. The day surpassed our high expectations in so many ways; the variety and number of rappels, the views throughout the day, navigating the dry creek bed and scrambling between rappels, and the final hike with creek walking and scrambling up 800 feet over 3/4 mile out of the canyon. Brett gave us interesting facts about the area and engaged in our interests, such birdwatching. He enabled us to go beyond our perceived abilities and we are grateful. We had a fabulous day!!

Summary:
My partner and I did the full day canyoneering adventure with Darren and had the best day! The canyons we initially wanted to see were not accessible due to high water levels, but Darren provided us with a few other options to choose from and the alternative did not disappoint! We felt safe throughout the rappels and learned a lot from Darren about the local landscape and wildlife. Darren checked in often to ensure we were comfortable throughout the day. When we had spare time after descending the canyon and hiking back out, Darren filled the rest of the day by showing us some other great sites and views that we otherwise would not have been able to see.
Having a private canyoneering adventure was really special and was a highlight of our trip! We really appreciated the opportunity to see a quieter area instead of a spot crowded with other people. I'd recommend All Ways Adventure to anybody visiting the Kanab/Zion area. We can't wait to return to do another tour!
