He even was able to correct my Live View function on my Canon full frame that the manufacturer said I would have to send my camera in for repair on! Great experience!

Summary: Our photography tour with Hunter was unique, enlightening, well managed, and truly enjoyable. Photography workshops can run from the instructor just standing off to the side doing nothing to completely taking over your camera, but Hunter was a perfect mix of astute observation of my process, helpful and constructive suggestions and solid foundation and vision - and he knew much more about my camera than I did. The tour was well managed, taking us to unique and stunning locations we never would have found alone. Highly recommend and would repeat when in the area again in a heartbeat.

Summary: I reached out to Hunter to book a tour for myself and 2 other family members all photographers at different levels. He was extremely accommodating, worked through some scheduling conflicts, in order to work with us while we were in the area. He was communicative through the whole process, on time and his teaching style was exceptional. He knows the area he guides in extremely well and was able to take us to some very unique locations. He is a great teacher and explained theory and practical application including exposure, composition and was able to personally clear up a few things that I had not been able to wrap my head around. Hunter made sure we were safe by talking with other guides about the conditions and shared his love and knowledge of park conservation and photography. Summary: I took two half day photography tours of Capitol Reef and Hanksville-area terrain with Hunter Page. One was an afternoon/sunset tour to Bentonite Hills and Cathedral Valley and one was a sunrise trip to Moonscape Overlook. Hunter was a fabulous guide and photography instructor. He knows the area well, including where to be when to capture spectacular photographs, and he got us safely to the desired spots across, at times, some rugged terrain. Hunter not only positioned us at the right spots to capture arresting shots, but he explained why photographing the landscape as he suggested would make for eye-catching photographs. (And he was right!) Also, as one individual in our group was a novice photographer, Hunter took the time to teach them not only the mechanics of the camera but also the art of making the photograph. Throughout each tour, he took note of our strengths but also made suggestions relative to photographic techniques that would improve our photography. As an advanced photographer, I will definitely use Hunter again to photographically explore not just this area but also other terrain with which he is familiar, knowing that I will not only "get the shot" but will improve my photography skills in the process.
