Hike the Essaouira Cliffline & Cascade in Marrakech-Safi

Summary: This was the best day out from Essaouira. Naima was a great guide, interesting to talk to and good company. The walk was quite long (14km) and mostly easy but some uphill and rough terrain. I would say it was a challenge for someone who does no exercise (me!) but would be easy for averagely fit people. The beach and scenery were dramatically beautiful, and it felt like we really went off the beaten track. The picnic was amazing! Much better than expected, we had rice, aubergine salad, tomato salad, fresh peanuts, beetroot and lots of bread and fruit. Highly recommend this day out.

Summary: Just beautiful! Hiking allows us to see Morocco wild and authentic, with landscapes that sting in the eyes so beautiful. A nice donkey transported our picnic to a small cove where we had lunch: it was very nice. This is the third outing I have done with Berberlands: I appreciate their quality proposals, off the beaten track. I highly recommend

Summary: Very exotic day. My guide from Essaouira picked us up by private taxi and then we joined a Berber guide to walk us through the cliffs. Always taking little care for me being careful that I do not slip into the rocks. Vegetarian picnic on the beach. Meeting with shepherds. 13 kilometers walk and sublime landscapes full of sight. Thank you both for this great experience.

Summary: Thanks to the whole team, children (8 adults) and grandchildren (7 children between 5 and 10 years old) came home enchanted by this walk with magnificent views, tea so friendly and generous at Assan. Summary: Magnificent and great hiking through sand dunes worthy of the Atlas (albeit smaller), huge and totally deserted beaches, an argan forest to finish by going up the oasis that leads to Sidi M'Bark with our guide Abdou, who knows perfectly the region and has made us discover a wild, out of time nature. Claudia, from Berberlands, was excellent advice and very responsive. To be redone because we never tire of such landscapes.

Summary: This hike combines wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean, bizarre rock formations on the coastline with a beautiful inland part to the waterfall. The picnic area in a secluded bay with fresh water spring is perfectly chosen. The snacks brought are very good and are largely transported and eaten in reusable packaging / dishes. Claudia knows the country, people, nature very well, and draws your attention to interesting details that you would otherwise overlook without the whole thing tipping over into excessive instruction. An all-round successful excursion with nice people in fantastic surroundings , I would book a hike with Claudia again at any time and am grateful to Pascale from Darek for bringing me to berlands attention.

Summary: We had a wonderful trip. Claudia was interesting, knowledgeable, and humorous. Picture taken at lunchtime when we dashed in and out of waterfront caves.

Summary: We (a German and a Spanish woman) learned about Berberlands at Triskala, an excellent restaurant in Essaouira. One WhatsApp was enough, and we already had a guide to ourselves for the next day. Naima led us to the falls with a lot of expertise and empathy. We were so excited about the trip that we signed up for another venture with Berberlands. This time we went to the Oasis in a small group of Frenchmen. It was again an informative, very well organized excursion. Finally, a Berber family served us homemade bread, honey, argan oil, olive oil and the Moroccan Nutella substitute made from nuts. There was also the obligatory mint tea and an insight into their daily work. They made wonderful mats and baskets. Many thanks to Berberlands for two wonderful days.

Summary: Very nice walk with Claudia our guide who knows the area perfectly. Everything is perfectly organized. Lunch on a deserted beach. Exceptional landscapes and lots of information about local flora and fauna. Superb day a few kilometers from Essaouira.
