Summary: This cooking class was the best thing I did during my 6 days in Lima. It was interesting, fun, and useful. I don't think anyone could have done a better job at teaching two beloved Peruvian recipes--causa and lomo saltado--than my teachers: chef Karina and interpreter/assistant Aaron. After donning my chef's cap and apron we delved into serious food preparation interspersed with interesting personal anecdotes and photo opportunities. We used clay pots and a wok, neither of which I had cooked with before. I also learned about a technique of dry cooking potatoes on the stovetop with herbs. When the causa appetizer was done we sat down and enjoyed that, then returned to finish up the main dish. Soon after we enjoyed that with a special local beverage. Karina gave me a small gift emblematic of Peru and after we departed warmly I continued to think about this special evening.

Summary: Fantastic experience! Learnt so much and the food was amazing. Good location too, easy to find. The chef and other guy (can't remember name) were really welcoming and explained things well. Loved trying the fruit and potatoes too

Summary: Still the best cooking class I've taken. The staff were so friendly, helpful, fun, and engaging. The dishes were delicious and I enjoyed the choice of dishes to make. Things that are relatively replicable back home. Would recommend.
