Summary: We had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Tomaz, a true medieval knight, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! He gave us a fascinating journey through the history of medieval weaponry, defenses, and battle tactics across Europe. Tomaz also shared wonderful snippets of folklore and customs that still influence our lives today. Fun fact: did you know knights mounted their horses from the left so their sword wouldn’t jab the horse? This custom still exists today! Details like this made the experience so engaging. Tomaz’s knowledge, passion, and storytelling were incredible. His English was excellent, and he explained complex military and historical terms in a way that made them easy (and fun) to understand. Surrounded by his impressive collection of weapons, it felt like a hands-on history lesson right in our hotel. To top it off, Tomaz guided us through an archery demonstration. He was not only an expert but also a fantastic teacher— my wife even hit a bullseye on her first try thanks to his guidance! Overall, this was an educational, entertaining, and truly memorable experience. If you ever have the chance to meet Tomaz, don’t miss it. He is a passionate knight who brings history to life. Highly recommend!
