Day 3. Blue Water tuna spearfishing
It was absolutely Incredible !! Hands down the best part of our trip! Gauthier is a beast. He is so skilled in diving and made us feel so comfortable throughout all the classes.
The freediving class was straight to the point and by the end the of it my husband was able to dive 15 meters comfortably. Aaron is who led our spearfishing class the next day and he is also super down to earth. We loved him. In that class we were able to Spear fish some pompano by the Catalina islands.
The third day was the blue water all day trip! And that was amazing! We followed spinner dolphins to find the tuna. They kept us on the fish all day. It pushed my husband to being able to dive down to 20 Meters which for a beginner felt like such an accomplishment. We are hooked. Very thankful for this crew and what they are doing. We got to eat fresh raw tuna right on the boat, the captains Manuel and Kevin were also amazing! We swam with the dolphins. Overall just an awesome time!
Definitely want to go back!

Discover Freediving is a try-it session that teaches you proper breathing and swimming techniques so you can glide underwater and reach depths past 5 m / 15 ft. It’s designed to give you a taste of freediving - swimming like a dolphin and exploring the ocean while holding your breath.
You’ll learn proper breathing exercises, relaxation methods, equalization, and streamlined swimming techniques that prepare you to safely descend and ascend to depths beyond 5 m / 15 ft. The session focuses on breath control and efficient movement in the water.
You must be at least 12 years old, be able to swim, and have a moderate level of physical fitness. The experience is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health.
This experience is ideal for adventure and Water-Based travelers, families with older kids, and anyone curious about workshops and wellness activities. You don’t need prior freediving experience, but you should be able to swim and have at least a moderate level of fitness.
The experience includes freediving equipment, transport from the freediving school to the boat and back, and a souvenir photo/video of your session so you can remember your first dives.
