Book this tour! Everything on this tour was excellent from booking and pick up to drop off in the evening. I can't say enough good things about Andreia and Valdemar as tour guides and hosts. Both being locals, their knowledge of the valley, it's history and current struggles through engaging stories and commentary made the day fly by. We saw two very lovely wineries, a couple of scenic view points, had an amazing traditional lunch and a relaxing trip on the duoro River. This tour could easily be twice the price and still worth it.

If you are looking for the perfect Douro Valley wine experience then I would highly recommend Andreia and Valdemar’s Douro Tour. We were a small group of 6 from Australia that spent a fantastic day with Andreia and Valdemar sampling the delights of the Douro Valley. They took the time in advance to understand what we wanted to do and prepared a tailored itinerary that was perfect. They were so warm and friendly throughout our day sharing their extensive local and wine knowledge. They took us to great medium to small family wineries where we were treated to in depth tours of the winery and wine making operations and where we sampled lovely table and port wines. We visited superb lookouts to sample the amazing vistas the Douro provides and visited a typical regional Portuguese restaurant where the food and wine was fantastic and plentiful. Andreia and Valdemar often went the extra mile to make our day comfortable and one to remember. It was genuinely like being shown around by family or close friends who have a deep affinity and passion for the region. If/ whenever we return to the Douro we will look no further than Andreia and Valdemar to provide another perfect Douro experience.
