Kayak Spike's River in Bandoli, Sanguem - Book Your Goa Water Adventure

Summary: We had a wonderful time kayaking in Spike's river. Ketan was very helpful and answered all our questions. He was flexible with timings and arranged a tour for us at a timing that was convenient for us, as we had a flight to catch the same evening. The guide who came with us was very kind, professional and also took many photos and videos of ours! Overall, a peaceful experience and a good workout for those arms! 💪

Summary: Prakash gave us instructions and left us in the hands of Satish his guide with big heart. Apart from the beauty of the river and it’s birds we found a cow trapped in the mangrove trees and almost drowned. We, the two girls from Bulgaria and Satish decided to save the cow. It sounds easy, but was quite scary as the cow was frightened and anxious and it took us two more hours and an additional trip to find a machete and go back to cut the brunches. Funny though in the middle of all this fight was the doubt our insurance could cover injuries by cow in a river :) 4 hours later that looked like 24, we saved the cow, got back exhausted, thirsty and hungry and Prakash surprised us with “village lunch” you eat with fingers: fish, rice, chilly, few salads, drinks… And he refused to received any payment for this generous lunch, being foreign tourists would care about a local cow. “You did your good deed saving our cow, now I have to do my good deed feeding all three of you.” India at its best! Summary: We loved it! Ketan and Shankar took great care to explain everything and make sure that we had a great trip on the river. All the communication and directions were perfect. The experience of seeing over a 100 Fruit bats take flight from the trees is one we'll always remember plus Shankar's knowledge of the wildlife. Make sure that you do this!

Summary: It was our first experience doing Kayaking and we loved every bit of it.. From the 1st phone call to finishing the adventure, Prakash, Ketan and Shankar took very good care of all of us. Summary: Kayaking is something one should experience atleast once in their life and a MUST DO during the Goa trip.The tour operator was very welcoming aand friendly. He provided us with proper instructions along with safety measures. The instruments used were properly washed and sanitized. The activity was done on time as the operator had already done the preperation. A professional accompanied and monitored us throughout the trip. Taking back great memories with us. Summary: Loved it!! We opted for the 2.5 hour long Spike's river paddle mangroves magic kayaking trip - couples premium package in the monsoon season. It was one of our best experiences in Goa, hands down!! We were lucky to see otters, stork billed kingfishers, brahminy kites, purple heron, oysters and crabs among other life in mangroves. Even the rains were a delight during kayaking. The whole ecosystem of mangroves was mesmerizing. Mr. Ketan is a patient and knowledgeable instructor. Even the kayaks seemed to be of great quality and easy to balance. The owners of Goa kayaking were quite responsive through the whole booking process and even later. The chilled beer offered by Ketan at the end of the trip was a cherry on the cake! Overall, it was relaxing and exciting at the same time. Would recommend anyone visiting goa to definitely keep this on their itinerary.

Summary: Think Goa and think sun and sand? Well thanks to Prakash and Ketan, Goa should be known for kayaking. I took my 7 year old and my almost 70 year old (68 actually) mom along and we had an amazing time. We were in Goa during the rains and every activity shuts down but we came across them still operating and said “why not?” Can’t deny that initially we were a bit circumspect- scared even. But we went for it and after the first 10-15 minutes of getting the hang of it, it started to be fun and then we couldn’t have enough of it. Ketan was our guide and after the initial instructions he got us onto our individual kayaks. My son insisted on doing it himself and after getting towed initially he got a chance and took to it like fish to water. While they didn’t have small kayaks and oars for my son, he was able to manage and manage well. Ketan kept an eye out for him and ensured he kept his balance and didn’t topple over till he got used to it. Ketan also helped get us out whenever we got stuck in the reeds. Even my mom was able to do it. And then the skies opened up for a downpour which added to the fun. We were drenched, and kayaking for the 1st time in our lives through mangroves on the river Nerul. It was amazing. We did see some crabs, oyster rocks, the Brahmini kite, a heron and cormorants- but the highlight was the kayaking itself. Must say at the end of more than 2.5 hrs it did get tiring as you are going back upstream but all of us ended it totally happy- overall an amazing experience and definitely a must do in Goa with Prakash and Ketan- don’t miss this!
