Summary: This was an absolutely amazing experience. The company was extremely detail oriented and made the process a breeze— everything from the transfers to the informative tours. I am an experienced traveler and was originally cautious to go to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as I was traveling by myself, was not well versed in the rich history of the country, and also didn’t want to worry about haggling for taxis and goods in markets. This tour well exceeded my expectations— not only by taking care of all the logistics, but changing my world view and expanding my understanding of history of the Soviet Union and Tamerlane’s vast empire. All of the tour guides were extensively well versed in contemporary culture, modern history, and the era of empires. I was able to learn something new on each of these three days I traveled. The trip also personally helped me develop a deep appreciation for Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and their citizens.

Summary: Anur Tours were truly exceptional with their communication and that is the ultimate key to excellent service. From sorting out itineraries, trying to fit all the 5 Stan’s under 2 weeks and the visa assistance was really a game changer. We thanked Elina our very own tour coordinator for the patience and understanding she has given to us throughout the entire process. Also, the welcome treats! We would also want to thank Mumin for the monthly updates for over 2 years. Constant WhatsApp messages even during Covid times. We told him we won’t be going anywhere else. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan with our friendly tour guide Ilya and driver Maxim were very punctual. The tour itself didn’t feel like one at all. More like a causal stroll in the park. Lots of history and plenty of time to take photographs and was always accommodating to adjustments. We even had questions after the tour and he was very well responsive such as food and translations. Also, hands down to Maxim for elevating his driving skills. That drive from Almaty to Bishkek was indeed long and to be able to maneuver through the fog and winding road was top notch. Uzbekistan Botir and Shakhzod in Tashkent, Uzbekistan are very well informed when it comes to time. They even sent me a text message why they’re running late due to a car accident. Like I said, communication is key. We love the interaction with the locals! Good for photographs and just be involved with them was fascinating! The Chorsu Bazaar tour was a highlight in Tashkent. Even had ice cream on that rainy day. We did manage to put in a lot of steps that day but then again, we needed that from all the snacking that we did on the tour. Dilnoza in Samarkand was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from her. Majority of the stuff that we remember mostly came from her. Even gave us the opportunity to go into the kitchen and took a few photographs of the people making plov and she even negotiated for us in Registan Square to take decent photographs with my wife’s Uzbekistan’s traditional dress. We are forever grateful and we thanked you for it. Bukhara walking tour with Feruza was amusingly amusing despite the intolerable heat. Had good coffee too! Bukhara is really charming and the best part was all sights and restaurants were all walking distance from the hotel that they’ve provided which was really convenient. It’s a must to go out at night and just enjoy the sights and sounds, dinner and snacks, tourist and locals. Lovely spot! Rustam the midnight driver who picked us up at the train station was on time. Just keep in mind that having to wait for someone that late you don’t know how they look like is a full time job. We thank you for sending us to the hotel safely and dropping us off at the Turkmenistan border. Special mention to Utkir! This guy deserves an award for the drives that he committed to us throughout the tour. We believe that he did a lot on those 2-3 days he was with us. From border pick ups and wait times he had to do. Gave us highlights and some input about Tashkent while driving. Suggested a very relaxing restaurant to have a lovely dinner before heading to the train station. Even gave recommendations as well. He timed everything to see the light show in Registan Square. He then walked us all the way inside the train station and carrying our backpacks and made sure we were all safe and settled. 5 Star service overall. Tajikistan The chill and relaxing part of the tour. Seven Lakes was the most picturesque thing we’ve photographed! Enough said. Chehron was very laid back and entertaining guide. Murot was the most disciplined driver I’ve encountered! The drive back and forth up in the Fann Mountains were tough but he did it all. Thank you for taking us back safely. That lunch with Muslim was unexpected and a very delightful experience! Thank you, Jumaboy Guest House for the hospitality! Museums and archeological sites were truly educational. Let me mention that the hotel we stayed at didn’t have any food or local restaurants near by because of Ramadan. We are really sorry that we forgot the kid’s name who helped us out. He was the receptionist at Panjakent Plaza. Whoever you are, you have a big heart and we are always grateful for the errand that you and your friend provided for us. Turkmenistan Eziz! The jack of all trades! We will surely miss you! The border entry was very suspenseful but here comes Eziz. From the border onwards to our tour it was all relaxing and surprisingly safe. A lot of excitement, exploration and experiences done. Thank you for that random pitstop and a quick shopping for souvenirs at the “Russian Bazaar”. Shoutout to our drivers for the entire Turkmenistan adventure. Myrat for off-road driving from border to Merv then to Mary international airport. Perhat our city driver and the master driver Resit going to the gates of hell. You’re one hell of a driver that’s all we can say. Turkmenistan is not what you see on Social Media. The people are welcoming, they’re not ignorant of what’s happening outside their borders and they have the happiest smiles. Met the director of Owadan Tourism and had a quick tour at their very own museum. Delicious coffee! In the end, If given more time we would definitely stay and just be there. Not all people are fortunate enough to visit such a country. White life and white wishes to you, sir! Train transportations were very efficient and it saves a lot of time. To other tourists, they might think it’s tiring and overdoing to do a tour the whole day then travel at night but for us we did managed. Maybe because our schedule was pretty tight that they had to improvise and micro manage the given time that we had. In which case, Elina did. Thank you for the assistance and for the things that you do for all tourist. It is not an easy task to provide such program. Catering our request and having to meet us in person, we are forever grateful. Anur Tour gave everything any tourist could ask for.

Summary: Anur Tour replied my contact very quickly and answering all questions very promptly while we were deciding the itinerary and also during the trip. The itinerary proposal was very organized, with great guides and drivers, that helped us to feel very welcomed. Guide tell the story of country, but also have the right connections to help you to get the best out pf each place (eg: food, shopping, local music shows). We definitely recommend Anur Tour.
