Summary: Diego's private walking tour was the absolute perfect way to kick off our vacation and immerse ourselves in Guadalajara's history and culture. He is an exceptional guide, seamlessly blending in-depth knowledge of dates and facts with the fascinating local stories that truly bring each location to life. Our tour started with the historic mansions of Colonia Americana, where we made a delicious stop for a must-try Guadalajara classic, the torta ahogada. We then explored three more barrios, each offering a unique atmosphere and points of interest, including a visit to the magnificent Cathedral. The tour ended at Mercado Libertad, the largest market in Latin America. Diego was an expert navigator, leading us through the thousands of bustling stalls directly to the best Birria tacos. If you want to learn about the city from a local expert with a passion for its rich history, look no further. Highly recommend this 5-star experience!
