Summary: The start of the walk was a little unorthodox meeting at the end of a road in the forest in the dark. We were all wandering if we were in the right place when Ian turned up at 7:30 Fortunately we were in the right place. Ian provided spotlights which was great. The walk goes for two hours and seems to be partly around and underneath the zip lining area. So while it may have never been logged I don't know I would call it pristine wilderness with piping, window lights, engine noise, wooden platforms, gravel, sheds etc but that's very understandable. A lot of the track was wet, and uneven with rocks so bring suitable shoes as you are also walking in the dark. We mostly saw some insects, arachnids and amphibians as well as lots of plants. I was sad we didn't find any lizards. Ian was clearly very, very knowledgeable about all the species living in the forest. Although it is kind of hard to chat when you are trying to be stealthy at the same time. Apparently June is not a great time of year for seeing stuff so keep that in mind. It was mostly fun just walking in the dark in the rainforest. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was pretty reasonably priced at $50. Don't expect to see any mammals though

Summary: What a bloke. Kane lives and breathes the rain forest. What he didn't know wasn't worth knowing. The walk should have been 90 mins but because we was interested it last 3 hours . Wow definitely worth going

Summary: We were a small group of 8. It was such a privilege to experience this amazing rainforest in the dark. Ian was so helpful prior to booking and his informal humorous talk and walk through the forest was a joy. Whilst the mammals exercised their right to stay hidden we did get to see lizards, spiders, frogs, insects, bugs and wetas up close and personal. Going through the rainforest in the dark with torchlight was a unique experience, my husband and I learnt so much about the unique habitat the Daintree Rainforest is. Would certainly recommend.
