Summary:
Beautiful experience with Antonio, hyper captivating guide who gave us lots of interesting information about the volcano while adapting to our desire for a sports climb with a good walking rhythm.
The night departure, alone to climb the slopes of Mount Etna, land in the warm sand of a first crater then see the sunrise, everything was magical!
We were with our 2 teenagers aged 15 and 17, we recommend ++++ this experience with Antonio.
In addition, the equipment provided was of very good quality (high boots and hiking poles).
Good continuation, and maybe soon pure a winter ascent in ski touring!

António picks us up in Riposto, punctuality at the rendezvous.
Equipment for a comfortable and safe hike is provided.
No apprehension at the precautionary measures taken and the respect of these regarding the activity of the volcano. António knows this volcano better than anyone, he has mountain experience, scientific background, physical condition and crisp anecdotes.
Particular attention is paid to adapting the climb from day to day in front of the weather conditions, volcanic activity and sports level of the group.
We climb facing North East we appreciate the nature and the detail that is given to us as to the particular flora of Mount Etna, we descend into the heart of the volcano we reach the maximum altitude allowed according to the activity, day of our ascent we were lucky to witness an eruption! Little kiffe to descend, we slide in petrified lava, we run, we furrow between the cushions of beautiful mothers.

Not a single negative point to note, and impossible to choose a preferred moment, between climbing in the calm of the night, didactic stops, visiting a lava tunnel, the sports rhythm we had come to look for, the magnificent viewpoints, the fun descent into the volcanic sands and what a chance, an eruption! All with a great dynamic group and a guide that we will recommend with our eyes closed and with whom we felt safe from beginning to end.
