Summary: I was SO thankful to have booked this tour! As someone from a 7’ elevation and not much mountain experience we definitely could not have figured the trails out on our own. Our guide Clay was an amazing athlete and so full of information and enthusiasm, and also patience. I would recommend adjusting to the altitude a bit before hiking if you’re from the flatlands like me. Super beautiful views and we wouldn’t have made it to see any of them without Clay! Warning- if you take your teenager they are going to want to go to CU.

Summary: I was on a short trip to Boulder prior to a wedding. I'm a "flatlander" and wasn't sure what to expect. I trained a bit prior to the trip to attempt to handle the altitude and am generally a pretty physically fit person. When I met up with Preston I was surprised to find that I was the only person to sign up that day. I told him the hikes I had completed since my arrival, explained how I had been training, and told him that I wanted to be challenged. Preston did not disappoint. He took me up Green mountain from a trail by the ranger cabin. This included a 3,000 foot elevation gain across 2.5 miles up a rock scramble. As a female traveling alone I felt safe and comfortable. Preston is not only an intuitive guide but an excellent conversationalist. We chatted the whole time. He shared stories of his international travel, trips he's planned, and work as a guide. Preston is a truly awesome person and you would be remiss to not work a hike with him into your schedule. 10/10 would hike with again.
