We booked the Innishowen Tor/ Malin head Booking was easy Henry responded quickly and professionally The day before our tour he gave us our location to meet him in Donegal. He was there early His Mercedes van was clean, comfortable, packed with waters & umbrellas ( if need be) His knowledge of the area, its history & present day knowledge of the area was fantastic. My father is a huge history buff- he probably talked & asked questions to Henry all day! Henry was more than happy to answer & share everything with him! The rugged landscapes are breathtaking here! The roads are not for the faint of heart! Henry maneuvered around all the twists & turns with precise professionalism! We had wonderful weather! We saw Griaanan fort A local man gave us such insight to this area and its history We drive through the lovely town of Buncrana, Fort Dunree which was magical against the ocean The cloudy weather, a slight drizzle then a burst of sunshine made it most magical! My favorite part was our trip down to the Gap of Mamore! We stopped at the “Magic Toad” where he put the van in neutral- took his feet off the gas pedal & his hands off the wheel ! The van slowly moved up hill with the help of the Fairies!!! ( believe in the magic & folklore in Ireland) The views are simply BREATHTAKING here! Our last stop was the dough Famine village It was so interesting The guide is the owner & lived I. These thatched cottages himself - do t forget to go through the haunted room for a little spooky fun! Although we didn’t get to Malin head due to road construction up there- we cannot recommend Henry & Donegal tours enough We will definitely book with him again! Thank you Henry!’

Summary: We spent about 2-1/2 days with Henry just last month touring Donegal and the Inishowen Peninsula. We loved every minute of our time with him. Because of our limited time there, he personalized an itinerary for us which was fantastic. Summary: We toured 3 days with Henry and Mallin Head was our favorite day. Henry went overboard to help us with groceries, our Airbnb, and acquiring other transportation. He was a joy to learn from and spend the day with. We especially liked how he explained the Gaelic language everywhere we went.

Summary: My sister and I booked with Henry for our first trip to Ireland, and it was the best decision we ever made! We spent 5 days with Henry as he took us all over the north of Ireland (County Donegal and the Inishowen Peninsula). He shared history, stories, traditions, and so many laughs. Henry made our experience unforgettable and we were sad when our time with him came to an end. We met as strangers but left as friends. He made our time here amazing and we will forever be grateful to him for that. We will be using him again on our next trip. If you book with Henry, you won't be sorry. He is truly amazing!

Summary: Henry Doohan was the perfect tour guide for our group of four brothers from the US in Ireland to honor the passing of our mother from Ireland. He catered to a couple of specific requests such as showing us a few things in Derry close to our pickup point that were helpful to know. Also at our request, he told us about his experience being interviewed by Conan O'Brien, but offered several humorous anecdotes throughout the tour about various situations, some related to the filming of Star Wars Episode 8 in the vicinity. Although the weather was generally very good that day, he navigated the route to avoid a particularly weather sensitive high elevation peak when noticing that it was largely cloud covered. I'm sure he has his limits navigating the weather, but in our case was easily able to substitute alternative worthy sites within the allowed time. He also allowed us appropriate time and space for some minor personal explorations around various sites of considerable size such as Fort Dunree. He provided some historical perspective that we found very interesting, including some items of interest to Americans that we never would have known, such as a reason there is a statue of the late US House Speaker Tip O'Neill in Buncrana - he helped an American company open a plant there which employed hundreds of Irish during difficult times for jobs for those in County Donegal. Finally, he brought us to Nancy's Barn in Ballyliffin for lunch, giving us private time to savor their award-winning fish chowder while discussing the fantastic scenery before we even made it to Malin Head. After learning shortly after pick-up that my birthday was on that day, he arranged a surprise birthday desert for all of us to enjoy after the wait staff and Henry sang Happy Birthday to me as he took a video of it. We were surprised how stunning the scenery was all over Inishowen not limited to a few well known sites such as Malin Head. We really enjoyed the sites, conversations, and Henry's company the entire day. We highly recommend using Henry as your tour guide!
