Kayak the Mangroves in Bagaces, Guanacaste

Summary: We had a fun and relaxing afternoon paddling through the peaceful mangroves. Abraham was great-- super nice and he knew so much about the birds, animals, trees and area. We were treated to fresh coconuts, delicious pineapple and even watermelon midway through the trip. We stopped to snack where the river meets the ocean and it was breathtaking. The trip was super chill annd well-planned. It was clear they had been doing this for awhile. Ashley and Abraham were great; it just what we needed. We highly recommend this tour to experience nature in Costa Rica.

Summary: This is one of our favorite things we did while we were in Costa Rica. It's an incredibly beautiful area that you paddle through with two species of mangroves. We saw lots of birds and a crocodile. The mouth of the Montana river is a really beautiful place. Further up steam the river comes close to the ocean with only a beach separating the two. We arrived at high tide and saw a couple waves crash over the beach into the river. Our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. We paddled slowly trying to take it all in.

Summary: We had a wonderful time. Abraham was a very informative guide, we saw lots of birds, an iguana, and many termite mounds! I would definitely recommend Ashley and Abraham for this trip.

Summary: When visiting Nosara, which isn’t as touristy as some other destinations, it can be challenging to find unique experiences. I was fortunate to discover Kayak Through Mangrove, and it turned out to be a wonderful adventure. We kayaked along a beautiful, calm river surrounded by serene scenery. Although it wasn’t the season for abundant wildlife sightings, the peacefulness and quietness of the environment made the experience absolutely worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe throughout the journey. I was especially grateful for how attentive he was to my 11-year-old son, ensuring he was secure while kayaking. We paddled through the mangroves until we reached the Black Sea, where we were treated to fresh pineapple and coconut water. It was a delightful and refreshing break. Despite the ocean being a bit rough due to a thunderstorm the night before, the experience of swimming in the water was still mesmerizing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Kayak Through Mangrove, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nosara. It’s a must-try experience that offers a peaceful connection with nature. Summary: Had a fabulous afternoon as we kayaked through the mangroves. It was so serene being on the water and in nature. Once we got to the private beach, Abraham had cold pipas for everyone as well as delicious pineapple. I highly recommend doing this tour.

Summary: My family of four did a kayak tour with Abraham and everyone loved it! The kayaks were all new and very stable. He has life jackets for everyone, which my nervous dad was excited about lol. The river tour was peaceful and beautiful with so much wildlife. We all enjoyed the break on the beach with fresh pineapple and coconuts. We will definitely take their other tours and recommend to our friends!

Summary: This tour was absolutely breathtaking! I was a little nervous about kayaks but Ashley & Abraham made me feel so comfortable. They had new and quality kayaks. They let me ride double so I felt safe, while the rest of my family rode singles. The river and mangroves were gorgeous!! There was so much wildlife I felt like I was in a DIsney movie hahaha. We stopped at a black sand beach to watch the sunset and have some refreshments. It was the perfect evening! We will definitely be back!

Summary: The kayak trip that my friends and I went on with Gabriel was awesome. It was so great to be able to have a tour with such an experience naturalist. Gabriel was very professional, well organized and easy to plan with. She shared a ton of information on the types of trees and plants in the area, the behavior of the different birds and animals and the ecosystem. She was very helpful to answer any questions that I had. I was also impressed with her hawklike ability to spot and point out all of the wonderful creatures in the jungle. Gabriel has a super fun energy and put in a lot of extra effort getting us in and out of the water. I was a little nervous about a possible crocodile encounter. Gabriel made me feel very comfortable. She explained that the kayaks would scare them away and that they were on land with their eggs on the day that we went out. I would highly recommend booking a tour with her.
