Summary: It is great little trip. Lots of information, and our guide was awesome as well. Great blend of knowledge and site seeing. Covered boat makes for a relaxing time out of the sun for people who want that. Or seats in the sun if you like that as well. Would take this or the longer cruise agai .

Summary: Booking the Kingston cruise online was a breeze, but I missed the priority booking option until I arrived and saw two lines. They should definitely have someone there 30 minutes early to direct traffic and answer questions. Once aboard, we found some cozy seats on the upper deck, but they were limited. The entire cruise was incredibly relaxing, and the commentator was crystal clear and super knowledgeable. I’d recommend bringing a light sweater, even on a hot day, because it can get pretty windy. Overall, I’d definitely do it again!

Summary: We enjoyed this "Thousand Island Cruise" (Canada side ) very much. Lots of islets with house on it. I love the two islands that is joined by a small bridge maybe less than 20 foot long. I just wonder where do they get their electric power and potable water. I don't see any windmill or solar panels.

Summary: Took the tour in late afternoon - good voice over giving interesting information and quite witty. Bar with snacks and refreshments, not too pricey. Very relaxing

Summary: The 1000 Island boat cruises are a great way to enjoy some time while in Kingston. We did the 90 minute tour and it takes you by various sites and provides a narrated guide tour. There is a snack bar that is also licensed. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The weather wasn't that great but it didn't take away from the tour. We ordered the tickets online that morning and picked them up 1/2 hour before departure. We did the 11:00 tour. The crew on board were excellent - 2 captains!

Summary: The first time I traveled along 1000 islands was as a young girl on my father's cargo ship headed for the St. Lawrence Seaway locks. I will never forget the pristine waters and the hundreds of islands: each one distinctly different from the other. I would spot either a single mansion,or a villa,or a castle, or a house perched individually on different sized islands. These were homes of the wealthy and some middle class people from the Gilded Age who built these houses as summer retreats. It's stepping back into the past where money was no object, and the upper social crust lived a lavish and separate lifestyle. I was intrigued by it all as a young girl and made a promise that I would return. I did last summer and saw many of the residences, some still occupied and some abandoned. But still the beauty of the water, so clear and cold and inviting was the star of the trip. I loved the tranquility, the untouched nature views of natural beauty. I would gladly return again and again.

Summary: Attended a conference in Kingston and got to experience this cruise while there - despite the rainy fall weather we enjoyed our trip on the Island Queen. Food was amazing - a mashed potato bar - who knew?! A smooth ride with a visit to the rainy and windy top deck just for good measure. Be sure to press a brass coin on the dock for a unique souvenir.

We had great weather and a lovely cruise. The ability to roam from side to side allowed for excellent picture taking. The commentary was very good but should be updated in certain areas. Ie the Pen is closed. etc
