Summary: We had the best adventure with our AMAZING guide Ian!! Our family is very adventurous so he made it extra special and took us on routes he normally doesn't take people. Safety came first for him and if it didn't feel something was safe, he would tell us we couldn't do it. He also timed going into the waterfall and other scenic spots perfectly so we weren't with crowds and had it all to ourselves! Also, he was so good stopping and pointing our wildlife to us, which was fun! It was the perfect day and I am so happy we chose to go with this company!

Summary: We had an amazing day with Arnold as our guide. We loved the hike to the waterfall. Arnold was knowledgeable about different plants and birds along the way. We loved having a private tour and felt very safe versus the large groups where not everyone was getting the attention needed. We also noticed we got to go in the river to visit the 3 falls before the large fall and other groups skipped it. Arnold knew ways to traverse the water that made it easier for us with the currents. On the way back we were able to take a detour through a bat cave and loved it. Our day was amazing and enjoyed listening to Bernie tell us the history of his village and all they are doing to keep it alive. The fresh fruit was a refreshing treat when we finished. Our transportation from the W was provided by Randall the owner of Shaman Tours. He was so knowledgeable about Costa Rica and accommodating of our needs. We stopped for a delicious lunch on the way back.

Summary: Had a great experience on this hike. The waterfall was so beautiful, but the service was even better. Bernie, Dylan & Ramsey were the best.

Summary: We were hesitant to do this hike, as this was one of our last days in Costa Rica. We decided last minute to do it, and I am sure glad we did, it was the highlight of our trip. My kids, 10 and 13 had so much fun! At only 3-4 hours, it was perfect. Joshua was our guide, and he made the trip even better. I would highly recommend.

Summary: A great few hours in beautiful nature and compelling stories! We enjoyed the tour very much! We felt like being taken care of and also, got lots of information. One must be physically in good shape though for the wild water!

Summary: Amazing adventure experience with Colorado Tours in Rincon de la Vieja. My tour guide Carlos is from the area and was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure the experience was special. Both Carlos and the Tour captain Berni speak very good English and were great at communicating. The waterfalls are beautiful and it’s a fun adventure to do if you’re in the Guanacaste region! 10/10 would recommend.

The waterfall and hike were one of the best things we did in 3 weeks in CR. The blue water is unreal!! Do this tour, you won't regret it ❤️

Summary: Best thing we did in Costa Rica, hands down. The owner, our guide, and everything about it is something we'll never forget in our lives. The pictures you've seen are real, the water is truly blue, and pulling yourself into the final event where the waterfall s located was adrenaline packed and unbelievably amazing. Higher than highly recommend doing this!

Summary: We were in CR for a week, did zip lining, private surfing lessons, private river boat tour and enjoyed amazing restaurants, but the La Leona Waterfall tour with Colorado Adventues (tell Bernie you want Ronnie for a tour guide, he's amazing) was my favorite. Honestly, it was a pain in the A$$ to drive there with all the traffic, but afterwards, I felt it was well worth it. Beautiful hike, great binding time with the family and I couldn't imagine it any better. If you're on the fence, definitely book this trip! Pura Vida!

Every staff member was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable and really took time to really get to know our family. Freddy - drove us to and from our resort in Playas del Coco. Extremely nice and genuine. We had great conversations and really appreciated his patience when we hit crazy traffic on the way home. Ronnie - our adventure tour guide for the La Leonas waterfall hike. He taught us loads of interesting facts about the forest and knew every branch, stone, and turn on the trail to keep us safe. He was so attentive, and we could feel his passion for the outdoors. We all agreed that he was so fun, entertaining, and we loved spending our day with him. Easily the best guide we’ve ever had! Bernie - went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day. First he had excellent communication and built a customized trip with exactly the activities we wanted. He even arranged for a cake to be served as a surprise to celebrate our parents’ anniversary! The gesture brought tears to our eyes, confirming how much they truly care. We had a delicious lunch and ended the day with the Rio Negro hot springs to soak and relax after a very full day. A cachete! 😁
