Summary: I almost died atleast 3 times but our tour guides were beyond amazing. Super helpful, super social and friendly, super knowledgeable! There were a few times that I was scared to death and they were very reassuring and patient. 20/10 for the guides! Nooooow for the actual hike, please do not book this hike unless you are fit! I am in my early 40s and have a very active job and I almost didn't make it. If it wasn't for the tour guides, I wouldn't have made it.

Summary: What a fabulous experience! Walking through the jungle was an adventure in itself because it’s totally rural. The only manmade things along the path are a few small ladders and filled tires used as steps but other than that, it’s a rocky, natural path in the jungle. The first dip was so cooling. You have to swim a little bit to get to the other side but you don’t really swim because of the life vest. Then the rope pull to get between the rocks was fun, easy and totally safe. Finally, you reach the waterfall! It was picturesque! If you have an amazing guide like Alejandro, you may be lucky enough to get there before the crowds and have the waterfall all to yourself. Remember to look up and take it all in. It’s truly Pura Vida in one small setting. The waterfall was safe, I was able to stand more than halfway in. My guide explained that the mineral water doesn’t allow for animals to live in it so it’s free, fresh and super safe. The waterfall pushes you towards the shallow end so you won’t get too deep unless you truly try. Then on the way back we had the chance to jump off of a small rock into an area that was about 5 feet deep or so, so it was safe to jump and really fun. It was my favorite experience so far. If your water shoes are comfortable to walk in, go for it or you can do like I did and get some Walmart sneakers that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty which made the walk more comfortable. Truly a beautiful memory and experience. I cannot wait to bring a friend and do it again. This is the perfect tour company. Pura Vida!
