Summary: This was a great experience! Our guide and driver, Joseph, first took us to a cute restaurant in a peaceful park setting where we had 6 different types of tasty local foods - a type of beef stew, a type of chicken stew, a corn and vegetable dish, a spinach dish, a very good salsa, and naan bread. We each also had a choice of two Kenyan beers, also very good. The tour was to include a visit to a bead factory and an optional giraffe center tour. However, we asked Joseph if he could instead take us to Memorial Park, which commemorated the April 7, 2019 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi. Joseph came through! We also cannot say enough good things about Joseph and his knowledge of Nairobi.
