Luxury Private Moorea Cruise Tour

Summary: We booked a private luxury catamaran tour in Moorea for our group of 14, and overall it was a very enjoyable and well-run experience. From the start, the operator was easy to work with and communicated clearly during the booking process. On the day of the tour, both the captain and a crew member spoke good English, which made everything simple and comfortable for our group. Transportation was handled smoothly—they arrived on time and picked us up in two vans. We paid $10 per person for the ride to the yacht, which felt very reasonable for the distance. Best of all, they were able to drop us directly at the cruise port afterward, saving us from arranging a taxi or additional transportation. We boarded the catamaran right on schedule at 10:00 a.m. and were ready to enjoy a full day on the water. Our first stop was at a sandbar with decent snorkeling. The current wasn’t too strong, making it a relaxed and enjoyable swim for most of the group. After that, we spent about 1.5 hours sailing toward Cook’s Bay, which was a highlight in itself. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, with two forward nets where several of us lounged for much of the day, a shaded table area in the back, and two bathrooms. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The crew also provided towels after snorkeling, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The crew provided water and some snacks, and we brought our own charcuterie to enjoy during the sail. They were very accommodating and supplied everything we needed—knives, cutlery, plates, napkins, and glasses—which made it easy to relax and enjoy our food onboard. The only small thing that would have made it even better would have been having ice available. Our second snorkel stop was near the entrance of Cook’s Bay. The current here was quite strong, so we didn’t stay in the water long—it was definitely more challenging and tiring than the first stop. Afterward, we sailed for about another hour before returning to the dock. Overall, this was a great private charter experience with a friendly, professional crew, a beautiful boat, and seamless logistics—especially for a large group arriving by cruise ship. A lovely way to spend the day in Moorea, and I would absolutely recommend it for groups looking for a relaxed, scenic sailing experience.

I wish we could have gotten the speakers on the boat to work, but we made do.
