Meeting Point

Meet at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu for your morning domestic flight to Pokhara, or request pickup from your New Baneshwor hotel for transfer to the Kathmandu airport; on arrival in Pokhara you'll be transferred by private vehicle to Dhampus village to begin the trek.

  • Join a farewell Nepali culture dinner in Kathmandu or Pokhara to experience local music and cuisine before or after your trek.
  • We handle trekking permits and TIMS cards for your Annapurna region or Pokhara-area trek so you can focus on the journey.
  • Domestic flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara and private transport transfers: flight KTM–PKR–KTM and drives from Pokhara to Dhampus village and Lumre back to Pokhara are included.
  • Benefit from an English-speaking, friendly guide and strong, helpful porters who assist with lodging and food during the trek.
  • We provide a warm down jacket, sleeping bag, and walking pole for the trek-return these to the company after the trek.

  • Refreshments on the trail include coffee and/or tea, hot lemon/ginger honey, and hot chocolate while trekking.

  • All comfortable lodges on the trek are provided, including full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), plus tea, coffee and hot drinks on the trail.
  • All required government and local taxes are included if necessary.
  • 2 nights hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast are included to bookend your trip in the capital.
  • You receive a trekking duffel bag (waterproof) and a T-shirt as part of the package.
  • A medical kit is carried along the trek to support basic first-aid needs.

Excludes

  • Cold drinks, mineral water, hot showers, phone charges, laundry and bar bills during the trek are not included.
  • Tips for your guide and porters are not included and are discretionary.
  • Any mountain-related high-altitude sickness treatment or other medical expenses are not covered.
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Pokhara outside of the included nights are not included.
  • International flight tickets and the Nepal entry visa fee are excluded from the package cost.
  • Optional trips or extra sightseeing if you extend your stay are not included.

Other

  • You should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness to enjoy trekking around Pokhara and Dhampus comfortably.
  • Keep all receipts you receive during the trip until you return home for record-keeping and possible claims.
  • Avoid wearing flashy jewelry or carrying valuables while exploring; secure items are best left at your Kathmandu or Pokhara accommodation.
  • Stay aware of your surroundings and travel in groups when possible; wandering alone is not advised in the area.
  • Do not give money to street children or beggars; this helps protect vulnerable people and supports responsible tourism.
  • Some temple entrances in Nepal may be prohibited for non-Hindus and leather articles are not allowed inside temple precincts - please respect local customs.
  • We need your flight details, a passport copy and a passport-size photo to process your trekking permit and TIMS card for the region.
  • You can apply for a Nepal visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport immigration (15 days USD 25; 30 days USD 40) or apply from your home country before travel.
  • Pack windproof outerwear and a warm down-filled jacket if you’re worried about cold conditions in higher elevations.
  • Bring comfortable trousers for daytime trekking and loose skirts for women if preferred during the day on the trail.
  • Pack gloves, a hat or cap, sunglasses, sunblock and lip balm to protect against strong high-altitude sun exposure.
  • Lightweight trekking shoes and warm woolen or thermal socks are recommended; ordinary socks may suffice for less cold-sensitive travelers.
  • Thermal undergarments are advised for chilly nights; otherwise, a tracksuit may be sufficient for sleeping.
  • Carry a flashlight and spare batteries for use on early starts or evening walks along the trail.
  • We reiterate that we need your flight details, passport copy and passport-size photo to arrange permits and TIMS cards for trekking.

Summary: I’m glad that we actually chose Alliance Adventure for our trekking trip to Mardi Himal (29th April - 9th May) Everything went so smooth and I really love how the team managed 9 of us girls throughout the journey. Their commitment and attentiveness were admirable. Needless to say, we did enjoy the trip and we hope the team felt the same way. Once again thanks to the wonderful team; Urja, Ashish, Mahendran, Hom, Dawa, Suresh, Megh, Bir, Chandra & Durbar for taking care of us. We will definitely come back 🤍 to our “hometown”
