Summary: This place was a blast! If you are a fan of comedy, this is a must see. We spent almost 4 hours there and will probably have to go back to see the rest. If you are coming from out of town and spending the night, check with your hotel. They may have discount coupons or packages for the museum.

Summary: The National Comedy Museum is worth a trip, wherever you come from! It is relevant, interactive, and incredibly engaging! We loved the Johnny Carson: the immersive experience was worth the price of admission. There are numerous interactive exhibits and knowledgeable staff throughout the place. They even have someone who comes around to get your drink - yes, a real drink, like wine, etc.

Summary: As a tour director, I escorted a group here, so while I identify it as business, it was still pure fun with new friends. We had a full day of sightseeing in the area and only 90 minutes was here at the Comedy Center, but I would recommend at least two hours (though this will differ with each person depending upon your attention span!). There is a lot available here and if in the area for long enough to spend more than just one visit, that's what I would recommend because otherwise it might be a bit overwhelming to some. Great technology is in use as you receive a microchipped wristband that you then fill at an easily used kiosk at the entrance with your favorite shows, sitcoms, podcasts, etc. (chosen from a list) which helps to personalize your experience as you wander through. There are places to sit and watch clips of some of your favorite shows, there's a theatre area where Jimmy Fallon's hologram is the host of a variety of Johnny Carson clips, and much, much more! There's also a terrific gift shop if you like to purchase things to commemorate your visit or for gifts for others. Probably not good for younger children simply because they're likely not going to be entertained by the comedy that entertains the adults!

Summary: I didn’t really know what to expect when we visited The National Comedy Center, however, it was a terrific time! The center tries to cater to your comedy likes. They give you an interactive band to wear on your wrist that has like a microchip in it and at the very beginning when you pay for your ticket and you go to the kiosk and select TV show shows, movies, stand-up comedians that you like it records it onto this microchip and then when you go around to all of the exhibits, you can blink your wristband at the exhibit and they will cater to your comedic favorites. It was very fun to go and get involved and engaged in all of the interactive exhibits that were there, you can make your own meme, you can sit with a friend and make each other laugh, you can imitate, stand-up comedians, you can go up on stage and do a monologue so it’s very interactive. If you’re shy, you’re not gonna like this museum That much although you don’t have to engage in the comedy interactive exhibits. We spent the afternoon there, however we could’ve spent more time to see everything. There are two other floors at this building, one is dedicated to a specific comedian, and the other one is dedicated to comedians that have risky or vulgarities. There’s also a bar inside where you can get drinks, I’m not sure if there’s snacks. There’s also a gift shop at the end as you snake your way through the center. Parking is either on the street, which is free on the weekends, but paid meter parking during the week. There’s also a parking lot strictly for the center that’s free, which is a couple blocks away.

Summary: This is a wonderful museum with numerous interactive experiences. I had wanted to visit Jamestown to see the National Comedy Center and the nearby Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Museum. I'm so glad that we did, including taking advantage of the combo ticket, which provided a modest discount. We spent a total of about 3 and a half hours in both, but could have spent more if we had the time. During our visit, we particularly enjoyed the virtual Comedy Club experience, which customizes the bits according to your own taste. The Johnny Carson/Laugh-In experiences were very good. Just so you are prepared, upon entering, you register on a tablet screen which asks you about the comedians, stand-ups and shows that you like best. While wearing a wristband, it customizes your experience to a degree based on your selections. There's also a floor devoted to Freedom of Speech and what might be called adult humor, focusing on the likes of the trailblazers Lenny Bruce and George Carlin, among others. One surprise: There's a bar at the end of the tour and you might be offered the chance to buy a drink while touring. There's plenty of warning about the language in the so-called Blue Room. It is fair to say that it is not for everyone, particularly children. As someone who has worked as a journalist and prioritizes advocacy of the First Amendment, I was particularly glad to see it. Highly recommend this special destination. We found a parking lot down the street, which was small. There's plenty of parking on the streets nearby.

Summary: The most fun you can have! There are clips galore for TV shows and movies. The museum is easy to navigate and loaded with interactive exhibits.

Summary: I didn't know what I was expecting the comedy center to be, but it far exceded my expectations! This place is a lot of fun. When you sign in you get a chipped/personalized bracelet and then there are screens where you can choose all the comediens, movies and TV shows that you like. Once you enter the display area there are touch pads at some of the displays that you can touch with your bracelt and then the content will be customized to your likes. The center covers everything from comedy from the past, up to the present and even a "blue room" for more of a raunchy/bad words theme. We spent 3 hours there and would have liked to stay longer, but we also had tickets for the Lucille Ball museum and wanted to fit that into our day, also.

Summary: Unique. Give yourself two hours. It runs through a lot of the recent history of comedy tuned to your tastes. Includes TV, movies, cartoons, internet memes.

Summary: The moment we walked in to the Center, we were greeted with hellos from several workers. We checked in and they guided us through the initial Exploration of what we would see. I am pleasantly surprised by the Center. I was taking my husband there as a gift. I thought the experience would be more to his liking than mine. I was wrong. I loved it. I don't know if I have ever been to a museum with more interactive exhibits. We had so much fun, from the Jimmy Fallon hologram to watching a nine year girl trying her hand at stand up. There was so much to do, we didn't have time To finish the whole museum. We will definitely Be back. Thank you

Summary: Excellent museum - top notch in every way - immersive and informative - fun and friendly - highly recommend! And if you can go on a non-crowd day, even better - so many interactive exhibits - you don't want to miss any of it!
