Wow, this was something! A mysterious adventure within a hidden ocean gem on Porto Santo. In the early morning, we got picked up from our guide Matias and after some jokes, wetsuit fitting, and basic snorkeling technique check-up, we enter water. Honestly, it could have been warmer, but after a couple of strokes, it was all fine. Snorkling for our own ... was ok ... a nice adventure in the dark, equipped with torch and at least an idea of what to search for. Spotted some sleeping fishes and cucumbers.
BUT Matias did a great job to spot the hidden animals. Three octopuses
🐙 couldn't trick his eyes. It was enjoyable to watch this mysterious creature playing with Matias. Apparently, we also learned something. Close to the end of our journey, we have seen a rare species, a night white-pointed night octopus. All in all, something you cannot do everywhere and something you don't want to miss out. Definitely, recomenable.

Summary:
The night snorkeling experience was the highlight of the trip to Porto Santo. An amazing adventure that begins at dawn inside, with a starry sky out of the water and, inside the water, an impressive marine nightlife. I confess that I still find myself assimilating everything I lived that morning and early in the day. We were lucky to be able to watch the day rise, little by little, as we explored marine life underwater. The Matias is an amazing Guide, very professional, very communicative, concise and clear. Total safety and confidence in our Guide. Matias also captures images of the entire experience. To conclude, I lived a unique moment with a pigeon, who wanted to share several moments with me and we have records of it! Thank you, Matias!!!

Experience in total safety, relaxing but at the same time exciting because the ocean at night is truly fascinating.
We did not suffer the cold thanks to the wetsuit provided by Matias and we managed to see many octopuses and other sea creatures.
I do not recommend flip-flops because the descent to the beach is not easy.
