- This experience requires a moderate level of fitness; please arrive at least 10 minutes early. Note the moderate cancellation policy and the nonrefundable service fee once a custom itinerary has been issued.

- Moderate cancellation policy: 100% fee if cancelled 14 days or less before the event, 50% if cancelled 21 days or less before the event, 25% if cancelled 30 days or less before the event.
- After booking you will receive a link to the custom tour form within 48 hours; complete it accurately at least 7 days before your tour date so we can prepare your itinerary.
- Use the custom tour form to tell us which local attractions you’ve already visited so we can avoid repeats and craft an itinerary that reflects your interests.
- If you cancel any time after we have sent your custom itinerary, a service fee equal to 15% of your total tour cost will be nonrefundable.

- Mode of transportation is limited to within the city (either public transportation or a private vehicle based on your booking).
- We begin creating your custom itinerary and making reservations as soon as we receive your booking and form responses; some arrangements may be difficult to cancel.
- For best availability and to secure restaurant or venue reservations in Nikko, book as early as possible - ideally 3 months in advance or at least 1 month before travel.
- Requests made within 7 days of travel may not be arranged in time; such last-minute bookings may be cancelled with a full refund.
- Arrive at the meet-up location at least 10 minutes before the designated start time; you will receive the tour guide’s phone number before your tour in case you need assistance.
- Although private, the guide will wait up to 30 minutes after the start time before the tour is cancelled if you are late.
- Dress appropriately for all weather conditions to stay comfortable while exploring the area.
- PasSports may be required to verify age on the day of the tour; children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.

Yumi was wonderful! We were able to enjoy all the important sites in Nikko with her. She was very flexible in making the tour as good as possible taking into consideration the expected rain. We learned a lot about the history of Japan, the importance of Nikko, and got to see how magical and beautiful it is.

The whole trip was amazing! Our guide, Kozue, made this experience one to remember. She was extremely knowledgeable and well versed on the history of Nikko, the magnificent shrines and temples. She was very thoughtful in keeping us informed before ,during and after the tour. She reserved an authentic Japanese restaurant for us to have a delicious lunch. This tour of Nikko led by Kozue was the highlight of our Japan trip
