Meeting Point
If your hotel is in the city center, your guide will pick you up there; otherwise you’ll meet at a mutually agreed central location in Nikko. Arrive at least 10 minutes early, and you’ll receive the guide’s phone number before the tour. The guide will wait up to 30 minutes after the start time before the tour is cancelled.

- If we send a custom itinerary and you cancel afterward, a nonrefundable service fee equal to 15% of your total tour cost applies.
- Cancellation schedule (moderate policy): 100% fee for cancellations 14 days or less before the tour; 50% fee for cancellations 21 days or less before the tour; 25% fee for cancellations 30 days or less before the tour.
- We recommend booking well in advance for Nikko experiences-ideally 3 months ahead, or at least 1 month before travel; requests made within 7 days may be canceled with a full refund if we cannot arrange the tour in time.
- Mode of transport is limited to within the city only; we’ll use public transportation or a private vehicle based on your confirmed booking.
- Infants must sit on an adult’s lap; small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and public transportation options are available nearby for convenient travel.
- Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older; pasSports may be required to verify age on the day of the tour.
- Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early; you’ll receive the tour guide’s phone number before the tour and the guide will wait up to 30 minutes past the start time before cancelling.

Summary:
What a great day! Yumi our guide was incredible. She was well versed in the history and spoke wonderful English. She was also very intuitive, pivoting the tour when we were hot or perhaps had scene enough temples and changed to some beautiful nature scenery. Nikko itself was amazing and worth the day trip out of Tokyo. We took the high speed train too and from Shinjuku and it was quick and easy. The temples are unreal, huge and elaborate.
