Summary: On October 17, 2025, we had the extreme pleasure of being part of an 8-person tour of Omaha and Utah Beaches led by a young guide by the name of Louis Dilasser. My wife and I and two of our close friends made the trip from Hamilton, Ohio. It was an amazing experience! Louis is clearly fully invested to the sites, stories, and facts he presents. At times, the emotions were clearly visible on his face and audible in his voice. I highly recommend him as a guide. From 9:00 am to around 5:00 pm we either stopped at or drove through approx. 14 sites important to the D-Day landings and to the days just past June 6, 1944. The well-preserved German fortifications at Longeville sur Mer, the sobering rows of white marble crosses at the American Cemetery at Colleville sur l' Mer, standing on the wet sand at Omaha Beach's Dog Green Sector, listening about the obstacles the U.S. Army Rangers faced at Pointe du Hoc, standing with history at the beautiful village of St. Mere Eglise, the quiet fields of La Fierre Bridge, the stirring tales of bravery and sacrifice at the church in Angloville au Plain, and ending with Utah Beach was incredibly moving. I only wish we had more time! We drove through numerous other villages and past fields that were once filled with Allied gliders. It's amazing that one can experience so much, and yet still not want it to end. Clearly to see so much, time limits have to be enforced, and I was last back to the group more than once. I don't know if there is the possibility of a multiple day package. If not, I would recommend it. Overall, Overlord Tours and their representative guide Louis Dilasser deserve thanks and appreciation for a enjoyable, yet meaningful experience. I was well worth it! Thank you, Brian Smith Hamilton, Ohio
