Petrykivka Painting Workshop

Take a fascinating class of Perykivka painting under the guidance of a professional artist. During a private workshop, you will learn the basic techniques of petrykivka painting, included on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Summary: In this workshop I found out the history of the origins of the Petrykivka art and how it had been affected over time but very much remains a bigger part of Ukraine's identity and culture. It has to be said that this art looks cheerful and bright and it is no wonder the design can be found on most ornaments and places about a Ukrainian home. I was, overall, amazed at what I made by the end of the visit and with the support of my very patient tutor, I created a picture which I was proud to show-off. I am not the best at art but with this style I was able to create a good finished piece. At the same time I was able to relax and become absorbed by the art process. I would highly recommend, no matter what your art skills.
