Summary: An incredible and insightful tour that not only teaches you new cooking skills but also gives you a glimpse of what it’s like to live as a young married mother in Mumbai. Aarti taught me so much (including how much of a wimp I am when trying to flip hot chapati on the cooker), and she was super patient when I could probably roll or knead the dough 😊 Being invited into a persons home is such a privilege and this tour really does immerse you into the life of a local. My driver Mukesh was also amazing, teaching me all about the landmarks we passed during our drive. I’d highly recommend this tour and these two guides specifically.

Summary: In my tour today I not only learned how to make a delicious Indian meal, but I also learned so much about Indian culture and modern life from my tour guide Anthony. I went to Anthony’s home in a slum area and his Mum Theresa taught me how to make chapatis, daal, steamed rice, paneer korma and Indian rice pudding (Khmer). I was able to experience a few hours of typical Indian family life in a real Indian home - fascinating!
