Experience an Overnight Desert Camp and Camel Trek in the Sahara from Merzouga, Taouz

Summary: This was the highlight of our trip in Morocco so far! Ahmed, our guide was amazing..the communication with him very smooth, everything very well organised and correct. He came to pick us up at the meeting point and drove us with his jeep to the camp. He also took us sanboarding and on top of the dunes to see the sunset. The tents were super comfy and luxury. The dinner was great and after dinner we all gathered by the fire and locals played some music, singing and dancing. Very lovely night :) Every single person was very nice to us. Ahmed also arranged for us a 1h guided trip with ATV from the camp to the car the morning after, which was super fun! Dont miss this experience! :)

Summary: The whole experience was great. The people were super friendly, everyone was nice and tried their best to keep us happy. The views are amazing and the sunset is breathtaking. The ride with the ATVs was also great and the tents were super comfortable and luxurious. The food and the evening music was great and we hung out around the fireplace with the locals. Overall it was great, everyone should go!

Summary: Not first time nor the last I will visit the desert of Morocco and I cannot suggest people enough to do the same. It’s a marvellous experience for whoever seek a relaxing and cheerful atmosphere. Ahmed’s camp is well equipped with comfortable beds, clean shower room and tasty food. He speaks English, Italian and spanish language clearly and above all his friendly and understanding. A+

Summary: Came back few days ago from an amazing trip in Morocco. Desert was such an amazing experience for me, my husband and our children. They got to see camels and played with nomads children. Ahmed, our tour guida is attentive and always available to our requested. Their camp is well maintained, neat and tidy. Food was tasty and staff member friendly. I recommend this tour to everybody who wants to experience the true Sahara life. We wil be back hopefully one day.

Summary: Highly recommended, Ahmed speaks Spanish and English very well (among others), we went as a couple and he solved our lives; He picked us up at the place where the bus left us (even though we arrived at night), he took us by 4x4 (impressive trip) to the camp where we were able to experience the desert in its fullness, we ate delicious local foods, then we enjoyed the music at the campfire, we slept very well (everything clean and prepared), the next day we had breakfast and went for a quad tour, then we stayed in Merzouga. Additionally, we forgot a bag with my passport and money in the desert camp, he returned it to us a few hours later, he even lent us money during that period. He was always willing to help us, in short, more than recommended, if I ever return to Merzouga I already know who to talk to to enjoy a beautiful vacation.

Summary: From the beginning Ahmed was very communicative with us, regarding the transport to the camp, the dinner and solving all our doubts. The meeting point was in a hotel with a pool that we can use before starting the ride to the camp, which was the paradise with +40º We took the camels (25€) to go to the desert and the 4x4 to come back (+15€) which I recommend as you have both experiences. The night in the desert was amazing, the staff is super welcoming and cares about you having a good time. The dinner and the breakfast were delicious and plentiful. We had fun listening and dancing with local music with drums. On the way back we also visited a nomad camp in the sahara. Thanks for making this experience so beautiful <3

Summary: A must-do experience when visiting Morocco is a Sahara desert safari. Having done this in the Middle East many times in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha I am well experienced in knowing what to expect. I browsed the different tours on offer, compared prices, and then choose this as was extremely reasonable price. This lived up to expectations and did not disappoint. Ahmed and his team were fantastic host, welcoming, charming, friendly and genuine Berbers that give you a chance to get a glimpse of their Berber life and at the same time experience the amazing Sahara. They are also fluent in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic (possibly more but that’s all that I heard during our stay). The tour was packed with activities: dune bashing, camel rides, live Berber entertainment, camp fire, dinner and breakfast sunset and sunrise views. The tents were clean, well equipped and spacious with queen sized comfortable bed and private washroom facilities. The team is very hospitable and will support your needs when you ask and provide extras without hesitation. Me and my friends experienced a sand bath and an amazing trek across the desert in the night. Not forgetting spending the night under the Milky Way perched on a sand dune watching the many stars shoot across the sky.

Summary: We absolutely love this desert tour, we came back twice. The desert is magic and we have such a relaxing time. The camp has a special atmosphere, comfortable beds, nice spacious tents and delicious food. We highly recommend it.
