Summary: I booked 5 full day excursions with Sipson. I wrote him via whatsapp and he sent me all the options for the different days with the prices. I also asked to get an invoice for my insurance company in case something would happen and he sent it straight away. Sipson is a very professional tour guide and I learned a lot from him about the history of São Tomé e Principe. The tours were amazing from A to Z. I would highly recommend to book your tours with him. Again Sipson, thank you so much for this great experience!

Summary: Sipson has been amazing during our 2 days trip between Porto alegre and Santana. He was very punctual, and very helpful with everything. We did everything we wanted to visit and more. He knows all the local spots and has a lot of connections if you need anything. He also drove us to the beach after he dropped us off our accommodation as we didn't know how to get there by ourselves. I would highly recommend booking an island tour for the whole day.

Summary: We went on 3 tours booked through Sipson Tours: Centre, North and South. Sipson and his colleague Amaro were absolutely fantastic. They speak great English, communication before was excellent and they know everything about the island. Even better they have a real interest and dedication in developing the island in a manner which does not destroy it. They both went out of their way to ensure our 9 year old son had fun and was kept interested. We were so happy that we booked through Sipson. Would recommend going on all three tours.

Summary: I really enjoyed this day. We stopped at quite a few interesting places on the way to the south of the island, including a couple of roças (in very different states of repair), some landscape features and two beaches. The scenery was lovely! My driver/guide Cirilo(?) was friendly and spoke good English. Sipson himself joined us with another family at Porte Alegre, and we did the crossing to Ilha das Rolas together (saving me €10 on the boat). Sipson was keen to check I was having a good time, which I was! There's a nice view northwards from the Equator Marker towards São Tomé. After this we went for lunch (my choice, and at my expense) on a very pretty beach, and I was delighted that they'd remembered my food allergy. While the day is 5*, people should be aware that on windy days you're going to get a bit splashed on the crossing in a low fishing boat, so wear old clothes and bring a plastic covering for anything valuable. Also note it's quite a long drive back from Porto Alegre to São Tomé (approx. 2hrs 15mins), which is more noticable without the stops.

As a female solo traveler, safety was important to me and Sipson tours did an incredible job ensuring I got all the information I needed regarding restaurants to visit, and places to visit in the evening to experience the night life. He is a friendly guide, speaks great English and knows all the great spots aside the major tourist centers. Definitely recommend Sipson tours for anyone visiting São Tomé and Principe; beautiful country with amazing people!
