Summary: Vasil covered most of the city at a gentle pace. Our tour began at the Alexander Nevsky cathedral, eastern orthodox, on a Sunday morning so got the full experience of hearing the angelic choir, whilst marvelling at the ornate interior and smelling the burning candles - extremely impressive and peaceful. Vasil was very knowledgeable of the city's history, we learned a lot and began to develop our bearings of the city in a short space of time. Other areas covered included Serdika with roman ruins, the Banja Bashi mosque, synagogue, The Central Mineral Baths building and hot springs, the ancient orthodox rotunda church, The President's office, Sofia monument and much more. The tour ended at the famous Vitosha Boulevard, where we went on to have lunch and do some shopping. We would definitely recommend this small group tour, if you want to learn about city and have a short stay in Sofia.
