My partner and I went on this tour last week; there was another couple, and the truly wonderful Celine. She was so generous with her knowledge and enthusiasm, in both English and German. The Viana desert is a really special place (as well as Boavista in general) and seeing the skies in this way, so full of stars, was incredible. It's lovely that some drinks and snacks are provided also.

We spent a nice evening in the desert in a very small group (4 people + guide) and learned a lot about the constellations and planets from our guide Celine. We've seen the Milky Way and Saturn. Small local treats were available in top.

The tour was such a beautiful experience... to lie in a small circle on a blanket in the desert, to be able to taste tea, pastries and the typical local brandy and to learn from Celine everything about the star constellations was so nice...I could have been there for more hours.
