Your Private Aboriginal-Guided Uluru Tour in Petermann, Northern Territory

Summary: My family and I (group of 7, including an older family member) had two days with Leroy, Phillip and Miles and I cannot speak more highly of their knowledge and respect for Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa. Phillip (our Aṉangu guide) was amazing in sharing his knowledge of Uluru. Leroy and Miles clearly have great passion for the area and the people. They also showed such care for our family of varying physical abilities and interests. I spent a lot of time looking at tour options in the area and feel we hit the jackpot. If you are looking for a tour with genuine passion, knowledge and good humour, this is it.

Summary: Experience was great. Felt like Leroy was an amazing guide. He is a force of nature in the area. He seems to know everyone and those that he doesn’t know he strikes up a conversation to get to know them. Great conversation and learned lots about the history and stories that you don’t hear from most sources. He made the experience memorable. Summary: I had such a special and memorable time with Iris and Evelyn, the Anangu guide, at Uluru. I felt so privileged to hear Evelyn speak and sing and dance sections of her story, and Iris' way of interpreting and guiding us in appropriate ways to respect Evelyn and her culture was beautiful. It was clear that there was a deep and genuine connection between them, and this made the stories that Evelyn told so much richer.

Summary: We worked with Australian Private Tours to organise a personalised experience for our family of 5. We were greeted by Iris our guide for the day at our hotel, and travelled out to Kata Tjuta, then experienced Uluru with a local Anangu (Aboriginal) guide in the afternoon. Iris our guide was so knowledgeable, passionate and authentic across the whole experience. She shared the history, stories and spoke to us in a way that engaged the whole family. Rita, our Anangu guide, joined us and told us some local stories while we were at Uluru and even allowed the kids to go into some small caves off the track to explain how young boys were taught how to hunt. We couldn’t have imagined our trip without the experience you provided us. We would highly recommend Australian Private Tours to anyone planning on coming to Uluru.

Summary: A truly memorable experience. Staying on country with a beautiful Aṉangu family left us wanting more time with them. The yarning around the camp fire was educational, the roo tail on the fire was delicious as were the witchetty grubs and native tomatoes we foraged. Highly recommend this to everyone.
