Summary: This is a great day trip and the highlight of my trip to Santiago. Our guide, Gonzalo, is a seasoned professional who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and just a lot of fun to hang out with. The mountain scenery is gorgeous and they take great care of their guests. The 4k hike is broken into short, manageable segments with rests and plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the valley at the base of the volcano. Not easy, but not as hard as some medium difficulty hikes. The second half to the hot spring is unusual, but how often do you get to sit in a pool with water heated by a volcano? It was relaxing, with a number of pools at different temperatures to choose from. At the end of the day somehow Gonzalo arranged a flyover by two condors as we were enjoying snacks to cap the day. The only down side is the van ride is rough between the hike and the springs, but that is unavoidable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who can make the hike. Take note of the guidance provided by the operator to get the most out of your day.

Summary: It had recently snowed and Andres took us on a beautiful hike in the Andes. He is very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the flora, fauna, and the geological features. When we mentioned that we had just gotten engaged he sprung into action and took some professional looking photos for us :) The hot springs were the perfect way to relax after the hike. Thansk for a wonderful day!
