Summary: What an amazing and educational day out with Rotcha Tours. Our guide bernado couldn't have made the day any better. The tour took us to most of the main tourist Hotspots but included places not normally seen whilst visiting the island. Possibly the highlight for us was visiting a local farm and realising how difficult it is to run a farm in this harsh environment. Thanks Anita and team for a great day

Summary: My 3rd tour with Rotcha. Everything was right with this one too. Most people book north and/or south tours, but the east tour is absolutely worthwhile. The ascent to the lighthouse is a bit strenuous, but definitely worth it. Once at the top you have a wonderful view. Thank you Anita!

Summary: Drive through a desert or rather be driven as there are certainly no signposts, and you eventually arrive at the base of a hill upon which stands the lighthouse. The climb on foot up a cobblestone track is about 300 metres and once up there the views are spectacular. The lighthouse keeper is there, he has a bedroom plus a kitchen area, there is a loo but he asked 1€ for the privilege! He also has various bits for sale such as necklaces. Climb to the top of the lighthouse and if you have a hat, hold onto it. Be warned, the final ascent takes you through a smallish opening onto the area where the light is. From here go to the shell beach which is extraordinary. An area of beach that has 000’s maybe millions of washed up shells amongst which is plastic bottles - a sad indictment of our throw away society. A good day out - take sunscreen!
