If you're curious about host clubs in Japan but don't know how to approach them, this is an excellent way to experience one! My guide, a host named Tiger who speaks English, met me with a flower at a location near the club. We then walked there together and he explained how it works and what to expect. During my allotted two hours, I had unlimited access to wine of my choosing, and the hosts would come to my table in groups of two or three and spend 15-20 minutes as part of their rotation. Most of them couldn't speak English, so we used Google translate or Tiger would translate if he was there. There were a few times when I was asked if a host could get a drink (that's how they make money), but they didn't press when I politely refused. Overall I had a great time! I felt comfortable and safe the entire time, and the hosts were charming. Thank you for making it possible for a tourist like me to experience this!

Went in February with a couple of friends to a host club for the first time! The hosts were quite friendly and made us all feel comfortable. The majority of them spoke English which was definitely a plus!!
The wines are good and there is a decent selection, so I’d recommend trying it out :) In case you don’t want to drink too much too quickly, you can always ask them to serve you a smaller portion as it’s all you can drink (and tasting all of their options is worth it).
