Summary:
The Wine Lovers Tour from Hvar was an absolute highlight of my trip! Our guide, Dingko, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Hvar, where he grew up. He shared so much history and local insight as we visited three beautiful wineries across charming villages.
First stop: Vina Ventus in Vrisnik, hosted by Una, where I enjoyed 5 elegant wines paired with prosciutto, cheeses, and olives. I couldn’t resist buying a lovely dessert wine!
Second: Vina Carić in the picturesque village of Vrboska (“Little Venice”), where 5 more wines were served alongside local olive oil, anchovies, and more regional bites.
Last but not least: Duboković Winery in Jelsa, where Gabriella (with Stephen’s help) poured 9 wines and treated me to a tasting of infused olive oils—rosemary, oregano, basil... a true sensory experience.

Summary:
100% would recommend! We booked this tour solely for the reason of going to three wineries instead of the one or two winery tours that were advertised that included olive oil/chocolate tasting. We wanted wine! The first winery we visited was Carić in Veboska. It exceeded our expectations at just the first stop. The wine and food pairing was delectable; meats, cheeses, sardines, olive oil, and chocolate. The other two wineries were great! Dinko was a great guide with lots of knowledge of the island. Lots of laughs were had and memories made with our new Irish friends that accompanied us on the tour!
