Summary: The freestanding house is nice in that it has no common walls with any other home and has a private back garden. Upstairs, while untidy with heaps of towels in the bathroom, was clean. But the kitchen drawers, utensils and microwave were very dirty. I’m not a germaphobe but felt had to wash everything before use. Be aware that while seagulls might be charming to hear in the day to remind you you’re near the ocean, but quite obnoxious to hear at 2,3,4 & 5 in the morning. Granted the owners have no control over that but be aware. The BBQ might look appealing in the photos but is basically useless in a useless dark patio (they should have something in the backyard as it would be more useful and appealing). The house appears to have been inherited from “grandma”, with no changes in removing any of her items from a long ago time: lots of knickknacks of another era, but not useful or charming, like tea sets in hutches, little Lladro-esque things that make your stay feel more cramped than welcoming. Overall good place for parents with children on a very tight budget, tho it isn’t that cheap.
