Positive: Really friendly helpful staff ..great buffet breakfast first day Monday . Room was huge with a massive balcony facing front and side (Alpine Suite) had a fridge, kettle. Toaster, stove top, coffee machine with pods. 2 of the windows had a plant, it felt like staying in someone's home. Could control temperature on radiators. Loads of storage space . Was Advent when we visited and decorations lovely , even in room and bathroom . Decor in restaurant very Bavarian and food was superb with massive portions . Shower excellent with roomy cubicle . Breakfast eggs great . Value for money was amazing. Overall one of my favourite hotels ever , and I have stayed in a LOT of hotels. So cosy and homely . Mind you if you are a modern boutique hotel type this is not for you . Cosy smokers corner with sofa and rugs outside under cover
Negative: Very little to dislike. One of lamps didn't work (we forgot to ask for a bulb to see if it was that ) . Not as keen on the non buffet version of breakfast the other 3 days but the actual food was great , just prefer to choose myself. Remote for TV didn't work too well. Towels not changed but we didn't ask for clean ones in fairness (stayed 4 nights ) Double bed is 2 singles next to one another ( don't mean just the duvets) and as mattresses are memory foam there is a big gap/dip I'm finding things to comment on that might matter to others in fairness
