Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Excellent location being very close to the station. Friendly and helpful staff. Check-in was available earlier than expected. We were also able to have something to eat in the restaurant mid-afternoon which was very welcome as we had missed lunch and it was too early for dinner. We had booked two double rooms for us and our friends. Whilst the rooms were next door to each other, our room's entrance was outside the main building on a covered walkway. This seemed odd but the room was very nice, spacious and had a huge bathroom. Continental buffet breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety with fruits, cereals, breads, pastries, meats, eggs & cheeses and fresh coffee made to order. Nice surroundings too.
Negative: We found the rooms very warm and could not adjust the radiators. Our friends' room in particular was so warm, they had the window open all night. We struggled to find a plug socket near enough to plug in the tea/coffee & kettle combo and ended up having to place it on the floor next to the bed.
Summary: Great overnight stay after Bernina Express before onward travel with fab breakfast
