Jeffrey Lake Cabin is in the centre of it all. Only 2.5 hours from the GTA & surrounded by great attractions like Grail Springs Spa (10 min), Algonquin Park (45 min) & Mountain Creek Ranch (20 min). See guidebook for more details!

On the main floor we have the kitchen, bathroom, dining area/living area & two beautiful bedrooms.
Both bedrooms are small but contain a double bed, storage shelves & drawers for your clothes. Additional storage under the bed is also provided. Bedside table includes a lamp with two USB plug-ins for charging your devices. Fresh linens & bath towels are provided upon check-in. Please bring your own beach towels.
The bright & spacious bathroom contains a stackable washer & dryer, a small stand-up shower, toilet & vanity. Towels, detergent, bleach & dryer sheets are located in the basket above the dryer. Feel free to use at your convenience!
JLC has a fully stocked kitchen. Henkels pots & pans, cast-iron skillet, magic bullet & even a pressure cooker! Spices & herbs, salt & pepper & sugar are consistently restocked. A Keurig & a standard coffee maker (including filters) is supplied. Coffee may be left over however it is not guaranteed so please bring your own.
The dining room table at Jeffrey Lake is solid pine & beautiful. It comfortably seats 4 however it does extend to accommodate up to 8. There should be 6 chairs when you arrive. Two additional chairs are located within the shed if required. Rainy day? Board games, cards & puzzles are not in short supply within the antique hutch!
The living room contains a massive wood-burning fireplace with a 185 year-old barn wood mantle, the perfect spot to relax & unwind. A large 55 inch TV is located above the fireplace which can stream your favourite Netflix shows & movies. JLC offers a wonderful Samsung Soundsystem for you to enjoy your tunes while you relax by the fire. Simply click the "Pair" button on the remote & connect to "Jeffrey Lake Cabin Soundsystem" via Bluetooth on your device.
JLC has two lofts. One loft is a bedroom & the other loft contains a hammock.
In the bedroom loft, you'll find a queen bed & a twin bed. A smaller TV in the loft swivels to accommodate each sleeping arrangement, Amazon Firestick remote provides all your favourite streaming services.
In the hammock loft, you'll find a hammock, reading space & essential oils machine. Relax, unwind, read, meditate & enjoy the peace the cabin offers.
The deck is half the size of the cabin & lets be honest, this is likely where you'll be spending most of your time. Jeffrey Lake Cabin offers a standard propane BBQ & a charcoal BBQ for guest use. If the propane tank is empty, there should be another one for use close by. Charcoal is not provided but feel free to bring your own. Plenty of seating is provided on the deck.
For your enjoyment of the crystal clear waters of Jeffrey Lake, we offer 2 large canoes for use. The fishing on Jeffrey Lake is incredible. Lake trout, large mouth & small mouth bass are abundant. Ask us for tips on fishing if you’re interested! Fishing Season details can be found on the last photo of the listing.
Life jackets/floaties should be located within the deck box on the dock. Please make sure to put them back before you check out.

*NOTE: Please be mindful that the space is beautiful but it is still only 600 square feet on the main floor with two 150sf lofts (900sf of living space total). Don't expect an excessive amount of space. The space is perfect for 1-5 people, any more than that & it can feel a bit crowded if you're space-sensitive.
*NOTE: On the rear deck, JLC is heavily tree’d & private. Do be mindful however that just like many cottages, neighbouring properties are in close proximity & during high season there will be activity on the lake, surrounding docks & properties.
*NOTE: The 3rd bedroom (queen + twin) is technically a loft, which requires climbing a ladder for access & no door. We do provide a curtain on the railing for privacy from below*
*NOTE: WIFI is maxed out at 5-15 MBPS which is all that is needed to stream a movie on one device at a time or connect your devices to the internet for browsing. Connection issues may arise so please be mindful of this. It is rural satellite internet.
*NOTE: Inside the cabin can get somewhat cold in the deep winter months (sub -10 degrees), even with all of the heat on. If you wear a sweater though you should be fine. Electric heating is provided for the chilly weather. Baseboard heating in most rooms is provided. Wall heater at front door is on a thermostat (DO NOT TURN OFF THIS KNOB AFTER CHECKOUT AS IT MAINTAINS HEAT IN THE SPACE WHILE VACANT). With the fire going you should be nice & toasty, however, if you need more heat, contact us & we can turn on one more space heater in the living room. Firewood is not provided, please purchase firewood in Bancroft.
*NOTE: Throughout the winter months, you will require a 4x4 or larger vehicle with good winter tires to gain access to the cottage.
Hot water is on limited supply! Try to take short showers & avoid using two water-supplied appliances at once (dishwasher + washing machine).
The water is UV pre-filtered using a state-of-the-art water filtration system, so no need to bring water with you.
Electric heating is provided for the chilly weather. Baseboard heating in most rooms are provided. Wall heater at front door is on a thermostat. With the fire going you should be nice & toasty, however, if you need more heat, contact us & we can turn on one more space heater in the living room. Firewood is not provided, please purchase firewood in Bancroft.
One security camera is located at the front of the home, pointing towards the driveway. This, along with the smart-lock entry system keeps you safe during your stay.
