Positive: My son and I were fortunate to book a studio at Nox Kensington, despite the Easter rush. This was our second stay at this property and hence we knew what to expect. Situated in a leafy, calm residential area of Kensington, this branch of Nox is a tad worn, but cozy and comfortable. Though our room was on the ground floor and right on the road, the sound proof windows ensured we had peaceful nights. The high ceiling and large bay windows made the room feel cheerful and sunny, something which we appreciated as we spent a fair bit of time working on our laptops. Equipped with a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery, a saucepan and frying pan, we enjoyed cooking on the electric hob. Eating our meals or sipping coffee at the slim side table, overlooking the street, made us feel we were sitting in a cafe! The staff were extremely responsive in meeting our requests for an extra duvet, towels, an extra knife and so on. A staff member named Naymur was especially helpful. Down the road, to the left of the property you find a convenience store and laundry, and roughly 500 meters away on Kensington High Street, you'll find a handy Sainsbury's local. The area offers some lovely Italian cafes selling superb pastries and sandwiches. A few yards away is London's famous Design Museum. Step around and behind to catch Overground trains from Kensington Olympia station on Russel Road. Or simply go for a relaxing walk in the evenings. Overall, excellent value for money.

Negative: Would recommend - checking the wooden floor is cleaned properly. The patterns on the floor probably made it difficult for cleaners to spot the dried up blobs of food left by previous occupants. - stocking WOOD and NOT plastic spatulas and cooking spoons. Plastics are toxic and also run the risk of melting on a hot skillet. - a colander (sieve with stand) to drain pasta or rice. Or at least ONE More high edged saucepan.
