Summary: There were a few inconveniences. There was a sign on the door that the key was available at a bar on the corner. We got the key but it was not clear that this was for a side door next to the main door. Thanks to a passer by we were able to find out how to enter. I was not prepared for a 3 flight walkup with bags. They never changed the linens and the floors were dusty. After a long day of touring around on the next day the cleaning people showed up at 5 pm to clean? I am not sure they did much. It is a old building but I like that. The fellow running the Fruhstuck room was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the typical German breakfast buffet and was good. Best thing about it was the location. Plenty of restaurants near by. Only a short walk to Savignyplatz S-Bahn, The location itself helped to overcome the other shortcomings. With a little care to mopping the floors, providing clean towels, a clearer note ahead of time about the key and the walkup I would change my rating to good.
