Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location this place gets a 10 out of 10. The grounds were gorgeous and the pool was amazing. The view from the top of this hill was spectacular.

Negative: Unfortunately the external beauty of this place is where it stops. Because of this place’s remote location and extremely steep steep ascent to get there you are kind of reliant on being able to get something to eat or snack on the grounds and we were led to believe that even though we couldn’t get some lunch because the person who did the meal prep was not present. Someone would be available to cook or make something from 3.30pm. So we hung around the pool and swam and waited till 3:30pm we then asked could we order something even something simple like a club sandwich which they had on a menu board on the desk and we were informed that no nobody was available to cook and we wouldn’t be able to order anything. This was extremely inconvenient and we had to get out of the pool get washed up and dressed and go down into town to get something to eat. The room was pretty ordinary. There were no products/toiletries in the bathroom as was shown in images on Booking.com the mattress was very hard and the room was not very soundproof. We woken up to sounds of the breakfast preparation in the kitchen downstairs. Even though I ate breakfast indoors, I had to share my breakfast with the bees and wasps because they leave both the glass door and the door that leads to outside open so these were coming in. Breakfast was ordinary nothing that screams luxury as states in the name. I wanted to love this place but sadly we left a tad unhappy. The scary narrow road leading up and down from this accommodation was the final straw for us when leaving after checking out we encountered a car coming up this crazy dangerous road and we battled to get them to understand they needed to go back so we could pass because we couldn’t reverse back up the hill whereas they could reverse down the hill. Too many negatives for me to be able to really recommend this place.
