Summary: We had an amazing experience hiking on the Athabasca Glacier with IceWalks! The whole experience was very well organized, from the check-in to the hike itself. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel safe throughout the entire experience. We learned a lot about the glacier, the surrounding area, and how glaciers are changing over time. Walking on the glacier was an unforgettable experience. For an active person, I would describe the hike as really easy and manageable. However, for someone who is not physically active, it can be more challenging, and slower participants may need to take more breaks, which can affect the pace of the whole group - so know your limits. We really appreciated the professional organization, clear instructions, and the guide’s knowledge throughout the experience. The equipment provided was good, and we felt well prepared for the conditions. Overall, this was a fantastic and unique experience and definitely something I would recommend when visiting the Canadian Rockies. Just be aware that a basic level of fitness will make the experience much more enjoyable for everyone in the group. Highly recommended!

Summary: The Icefield Walk Tour was an amazing experience and one that I will remember for a long time. The three-hour walk with our guide was truly a wonderful experience. The organizers were very friendly and well prepared. They provided spikes, gloves, and even socks for tourists who were not fully prepared for the conditions. Our guide, Kenton, who was originally from Ontario, was very patient and knowledgeable. He happily shared his knowledge about the glacier and answered all of our questions along the way. Throughout the tour, he introduced us to the history of the glacier's recession, showed us the water flow and moulin, and even used his pick to collect some fresh ice for us to taste. Of course, tasting the ice was completely voluntary and up to each individual. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend the Icefield Walk Tour to anyone who wants to explore a glacier and learn more about this incredible natural environment.
