We had a wonderful 2-hour tour over the historical center with Javier. The state of conservation is amazing …. Plus exciting stories from Javier with some peculiar details. Nice and charismatic personality 😀. Absolutely worth it!!
But be prepared to walk, go up and downstairs, and have water and sunscreen with you.

Summary:
We were able to book a tour in English with Javier, who was an excellent guide and who was responsive quickly on email. The tour is a perfect introduction to Caceres, including lots of unique facts that only a local would know. Thanks to the Christmas season, Javier was able to incorporate several places that are usually closed, giving us an extra "behind the scenes" glimpse of the town. A must-do if you don't speak Spanish (as Caceres is mostly geared towards local tourists).
